Sometimes, as caregivers we have no idea how to react or help. Expressing your emotions and showing how much you care for your loved one is extremely important. Thank you so much for commenting Jasmine and sharing such valuable advice. - Britta

I am a cancer survivor and also have been a hospice volunteer. I have always found that love ones find it hard to speak about death to their dying loves ones. Speaking openingly and lovingly about things that they want done before they passed. Telling your dying love one how much they have made a difference in your life and have they have touched others during their life time. This gives them reassurance that they are not dying without purpose. Laugh and cry openingly. I find it sad when family members talk to among themselves in front of their sick family members, not including them in the conversation, it as they are invisible or cannot hear. Take video and pictures and record their voice. Tell them that is ok to be afraid.
